Shepherd, I’m afraid.

Are you, little lamb?

Yes. Have you ever been afraid?

No little lamb.

What can he do?

He made the whole wide world.

My father calls them out by name.

O. Why do they sing, why is there singing all the time?

Praise to God has been decreed.
It is a law.
Do you praise him lamb?

How, shepherd?

By giving thanks.
Especially when
You are sad.
It is called
Sacrifice
Then.

O. How else can I praise?

By remembering all that he has done
You can sing too.
Sing a new song.

How do I know what He has done?

His book tells you.
And you know.
You have green grass
And fresh water.
You see the stars
You hear the birds.
There is always something.

Yes, Shepherd.

Be thankful.
Then you won’t be sad.

Why, Shepherd?

We heal the broken heart.
We have made
A forever house
For you to live.
Only God can do this.

Who is God?

I think you know.
He is the one who made you.
He sent me to you.
To give you life
For ever.

I thought mama sheep made me.

Yes, and we watched you being made.
We knew about you
Before the world began.

O. That Is very clever, Shepherd.
Was it fun?

Was what fun, lamb?

Watching me be made.

Yes. We loved it.
We know who you will be.
When you grow up.

O. What if something happens?

Well, little lamb, we have a plan for that.

What if I was born in a different place
Like other poor lambs
Who have no food?

We planned for them too.
They can all come to my city.
This is the best way.
No one can take them from us.
We love each one.

O, so I’ll meet new friends in your city?

Yes, you will.

That will be good.

Yes.

Shepherd, I am glad for what you tell me.
