Lamb asks shepherd... A blog of stories for discipling children of all ages

Be lifted higher - trees have their hands up

Be lifted up, be lifted higher …Do you like trees, lamb?

Hello shepherd. Why trees?

I love the way they always
Raise their arms
Like people
praising God.

Balmalcolm12inW72dpi

I see that.

Look at me, I’m skipping.
Look how high I can go.

Are you praising God?

I am now.

You are jumping higher now, too.

Yes, I feel amazing.

That is the value of praise.
Do you know why?

No, shepherd, but I love it.

Can you feel something?

Yes, it feels like love.
The colours are brighter.
The air feels warmer.
I feel
I am amazing.

Yes, lamb
You are always loved
and you feel it most
when you and God connect.

When is that, shepherd?

When is what?

When do I connect most
With God.

When you praise Him
Of course.

Why of course?

He lives
In your song.

In my song?
Do I sing?

When you skip,
you are singing.

And when I bleat
Like this…
mamaaaaaaaa

No not like that.

How about this.
Hurraaaaaaaa

That’s better.

How’s this…
Baaalelubaaaaa

Hallelujah? That is good, lamb.

What does Balelubah mean?

Hurrah for God.

O. So shepherd.
When I sing,
Will He be there?

I am always with you, lamb.
Heaven meets you
When you praise.

O shepherd. I like that.

I think I will praise.
More often.

Great idea.
Go lamb go.

Ballelulubah!

PRAYER

[As you pray, address yourself sincerely and with all your heart to God, as best you can. Best to say out loud, be still, and see if He says anything back to you, or changes the way you feel.]

Dear shepherd,

thank you for coming
to teach us about life and joy.

And about the Father.
Your God and my God.

Please can you
help me to

Say Balelubaaaa
Often

Especially when things are going wrong

so that heaven
can come to me
and God live
in my song.

Ballelulah.

Thank you God.
Love you.

From little lamb.
